Judge Gregory Taylor was elected to office August 2009 to fill an unexpired term until October of 2014.

Judge Taylor is a 30 year resident of Shreveport, La. Married to Tena M. Taylor for 20 years, he is the father of 4 children and grandfather of 5. Being the middle son of 6 children, he recently lost his father this past September of 2009 but feels very blessed to still have his mother close by. Judge Taylor attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he received his commission as a Notary Public. He operated a Security Bar/Ornamental Iron business for 14 years and has also done painting and remodeling work. Judge Taylor volunteers his time at the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City. He has been around military for the majority of his life. His father was retired after 24 years from the USAF and his Stepfather who also retired from the USAF after 26 years of Service. His Mother and Stepfather are still very active in the Veterans of Foreign War having held local, district, state and currently a national position.
